It was a couple of months ago when actor Simbu mentioned that he will be signing a big budget film by September.Now Simbu has made official confirmations about the film titled “Vettai Mannan’.
“Vettai Mannan’ will be produced by S.S. Chakravarthy under the banner of Nic Arts. Earlier, the duo was supposed to work on their other project titled Vaaliban. “Vettai Mannan’ was supposed to be directed by Simbu himself and he was reported to be playing dual roles. However, the film was shelved at the last moment as Simbu signed a couple of films at the same time.
“Vettai Mannan’ will be directed by debutant Nelson and three heroines will be pairing with Simbu. Buzz is that a couple of Bollywood’s leading actresses will be signed for this film, which will go on floors shortly.
Vettai Mannan will be shot across various parts of the United States of America, Mexico and Chennai. Simbu’s close buddy Yuvan Shankar Raja will score music and this is the fourth time, they are coming together again. Their previous films Manmadhan, Vallavan and Silambattam were tremendous hits. Technicians from Hollywood are likely to be roped in for the film.
At the moment, Simbu has completed shooting the first schedule of Vaanam, a remake of Telugu movie Vedam. Another film titled Poda Podi that marks the debut of Sarath Kumar’s daughter Varalakshmi is being shot in London.
Sun Pictures has officially confirmed that Enthiran, the Superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai starrer will be released worldwide (India, USA, UK, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia) on October 1st 2010 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. This is a much awaited movie directed by Shankar, produced in a mega budget and world class CG Technicians have put in their best effort. AR Rahman has scored the music for this movie.
Bollywood Actress Kajol gave birth to a baby boy Today(Monday) morning, seven years after her daughter Nysa was born. Kajol and Ajay Devgn got married in 1999.
Kajol, who recently featured as a doting mother in Karan Johar’s “We Are Family”, gave birth to the child at 9.20 a.m at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital.
While sources close to the family inform that Kajol will not come back to the movies after this baby, they do insist that filmmakers are still trying to get her back in the movies following her last performance in the Karan Johar production, ‘We Are Family’.
Good news for all Rajnikanth fans. Finally the wait is over for Endhiran. Endhiran is all set to be released on September 24 2010. Endhiran stars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles.
Earlier it was reported that Endhiran will be released on October 8, as the number ‘8′ is lucky for director Shankar. But now sources from Sun Pictures has confirmed that the movie will be released on September 24, 2010 which is less than three weeks from now.
Oscar award winner A.R Rahman has scored music for the film Endhiran and it has created lot of expectations among fans.
Endhiran made at a cost of Rs. 165 crores, the film is expected to be made on the highest ever film budget in Indian cinema, surpassing that of the 2009 Bollywood film Blue.

Actress Trisha, who made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar-starrer “Khatta Meetha”, is angry after her name was dragged in a drug scandal and thinks it’s an attempt to tarnish her image.
A report on a Telugu channel claimed that Trisha’s name featured in the list of clients of a Nigerian drug dealer. All because she has a very close friend of African origin — dress designer Sidney Sladen.
But Trisha is not willing to take it lying down. “It’s very strange. I was shooting in Kodaikanal when this Telugu news channel put this news out. And they put a still of me and this very dear friend of mine who’s Afro-American. They assumed that this fashion-designer friend of mine was some drug peddler from Nigera,” a fuming Trisha said from Chennai.
“I was angry. This is not just a harmless rumour. The first thing I did was to get my lawyer to issue statements to all the TV channels. I’ve taken legal action against the channel which put this out. There is not an element of truth in it. It’s strange where this story came from. I haven’t been to Hyderabad for a year now. I was told this peddler knows my number. But come on, everyone knows my number,” the pretty actress said.
Trisha thinks this an attempt to malign her name in the Telugu film industry.
“The only problem is you can’t pinpoint such a thing to any one source. But yes, it seems to have been done to tarnish my image. Luckily I’ve got a lot of support in Hyderabad even from the authorities,” she said.

Actor Surya is going to release the audio of Arya’s ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ on August 27th at the Sathyam Cinema. Boss Engira Bhaskaran features Arya and Nayanthara in lead roles and the movie is being directed by ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ fame Rajesh.

But this idea of Natha spreads in the entire village and soon, the media, politicians, Government organisations flock to the village and the rest of the movie is all about the twists and turns that happen in the life of Natha.
Even before the movie’s release, it won many international awards and the film’s making cost was recovered much earlier. That shows how well the film has been shot and how it reached the audience. No fights, no item songs, no romance, no power packed dialogues. The film is just one and a half hour and is the best in recent times.
Peepli Live doesn’t boast about a huge star cast but is based on real life story. The characters are well etched and the common man can easily relate themselves to the roles. It is a sincere attempt by debutant Anusha and Aamir Khan does it yet again! He surely has the Midas touch.
